Authorizing iLok &*PT while i've done it again
Well i've recently formatted my pc & now i need to work with pro tools again. The problem is that i am asked to authorize my copy of pro tools (something i've already been through) & that no iLok can be found despite it's in my USB port. What should I do now??? PLEASE help me, i've grown extremely tired of all pro tools problems and "bugs".....

Re: Authorizing iLok &*PT while i've done it again
Which version of Pro Tools are you running? Have you installed the latest PACE drivers? Which OS version are you on?
Does the iLok show correctly in the device manager? Are there other authorizations on the iLok? The more info you can provide, the easier it will be for everyone to help you. |

Re: Authorizing iLok &*PT while i've done it again
I had no idea what a pace driver was to get the latest. This was never referred in the manual or sth. I use Pro Tools 7.1 and windows Xp service pack 3. The iLok is shown with a question mark and a exclamation mark on it in the device manager. I authorized the iLok at least a year ago.

Re: Authorizing iLok &*PT while i've done it again
I use a Fujitsu Siemens computer, Intel Pentium 4, CPU 3,2GHz 3,19Ghz with 1GB of RAM. It comes with a HDD SATA 150 GB Western Digital Raptor-X 16MB/10000 rpm. My audio interface is an m-audio firewire 1814. The firewire card installed on the computer is VIA OHCI compliant IEEE Bus Host Controller. In addition can you tell me why does the m-audio card stop functioning?

Re: Authorizing iLok &*PT while i've done it again
Right click on the iLok in the Device Manager and uninstall it, then go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall anything with PACE or iLok in the name. Restart your computer, then download and install the latest PACE drivers linked above.
