Default PT Le 7.1 - cannot consolidate regions-menu greyed

I am using PT Le 7.1 cs10 .... and I cannot consolidate regions as I have before. The menu option is always greyed out, (and it has been for a while, come to think of it....)

I cannot figure out why. Yes, I have done this, and I know how it works - you select multiple regions and edits on the same track(s) and when you consolidate, it creates new consolidated audio files.....

Yes - I did a search here to find any posts. All I could find was someone using MN-Powered was having the same problem a few months back... but no reply was ever posted.

I'm mixing a huge session, and if I was to consolidate some of the audio, it would make it easier on the harddrive.....

thanks for any tips or help... Digi?

Yes, I double checked the manual. No, it is not operator error.

Make sure you haven't removed the Duplicate plug-in from the DAE\Plug-ins folder.

I swear, Rail, that you must be the smartest guy on the face of the planet

anyway - I took a look in my plugins folder, and my unused plugins folder (is there a different "DAE" plugins folder?) .... and i did not see the 'Duplicate' plugin anywhere at all.

My drive is indexing right now.... i'll do a search after that... but - if i am missing the 'Duplicate' plugin, is there a possibility that i could get it somehow?

many thanks

MixerGuy

Sorry, I've been using Pro Tools too long

It used to be DAE\Plug-ins (and still is on XP)... on the Mac it's in the Library\Application Support\Digidesign\Plug-ins folder.

You can reinstall Pro Tools and it'll put the file back.

It's actually the 'invert-duplicate.dpm' file you'll need. Somebody could email you the file if you provided an email address, it's only about 172k.
