Help menu/PT Reference Guide greyed out in 7.2??

After upgrading to 7.2 and installing the "7.2 doc's", ProTools is not finding the PDF for the PT 7.2 Reference Guide. I have verified that the PDF exists in the C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Documentation\Pro Tools directory. Is anyone else seeing this? I can manually browse to the file and open it, but it would be great if the menu shortcut would work.

I had this happen too. Then one day it was mysteriously available again, so I never attempted to troubleshoot it.

In Pro Tools HD 7.2, the manual is named "Pro Tools Reference Guide.pdf". Check to see if that is what it is named, and if not, rename it and see if that works.

Thanks for the replys. Yes, the file is correctly named. I should have also mentioned that ALL the resources in the Help menu are greyed out and yet they all appear in the correct folder except for "DigiRack Plug-Ins Guide" which I can't find a PDF for (a windows search brought up nothing).

I've had this problem for some time - a year or so? Using 6.7. The pdf's are in the correct file folder, I have at least once done a re-install of Protools.

I gave up, and put a shortcut to that pdf folder on my desktop. I guess that's all the HELP menu is anyway, a shortcut to that folder's pdf's.

This problem still exists in PT7.2cs2...

Any chance on getting this resolved Digi?

Have you already tried deleting the reference guide, then running the documentation web installer again?
