Re: tab to transient???
Just go to the beginning of a region and hit the Tab button. If you have selected the Tab to Transient icon, the tab will jump from transient ( peak) to transient. With the Tab to Transient button off, Tabbing will send you from region start to region start.

Re: tab to transient???
I assume its the same as PC so-click the little arrow box above the input boxes (in edit window)to enable the feature. Then click on the track earlier than the transient you are trying to lock to. Hit the tab key and the line/cursor should move to the leading edge of the transient. Its great for locating the exact start of a drum hit for pasting a new sound, or the start of a phrase you want to highlight for editing as you can hold the shift key and drag the mouse-using the exact leading edge as your start/end point. Once you master using it, you'll find lots of other uses for it as well.

Re: tab to transient???
For instance: if you want to slice a drum loop or any other audio region to be able to rearrange it to your liking, do this > use tab-to-transient to separate the "hits" of the loop while hitting command+E after each movement of the tab. This will separate the hits into individual regions. Quite useful sometimes.
