Gain and Normalize
Hi ya...
I was wondering what was the real differences between the fonction Normalize and Gain. For example if I set my Normalize with peak at -0.1db ,will I have the same result as if I set on the same file the Gain to reach a peak (after a Find Peak process) to -0.1db. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Gain is used in the purpose to create different level parts (for example quieter for the verse and louder for the verse...).And Normalize should be applied on a whole consolidated track to have the best optimized level. Thank you for you're answers.I'm just guessing but the DUC's gonna help me. |

Re: Gain and Normalize
i am no expert but this is my understanding.
gain simply raises the volume of the section/track normalize finds the peak volume and brings everything to that , or it might not be the peak but it brings everything to the same level... i think i'm wrong about that one |
