Default 10.3.2 won't extract

I recently installed 10 on my Dell N4010/8gb ram/Win 7, and decided to update to 10.3.2. My 10 install was from the DVD. I downloaded the update as a full install from Avid. It won't expand.

Did an uninstall prior to the download. Tried the download 2 times. What's the issue?

If you have the download in a folder called " pro tools" try moving it to a different directory.

Thanks for your reply, Dave. I found the PT installer within a PT folder, expanded, but when I run it, it can't complete. A message I get in the middle of the install process states I did not run the setup, which means some necessary components may not be installed. Or something to that effect. Well, I tried running the Setup application first, but it won't run. I thought it was not expanded, which prompted my post. Apparently it is, but it just does not run.

Sorry, I usually use Macs. However I had it running fine on this machine, installed from the DVD. I don't understand why upgrading is such a PITA.

Sounds like maybe it is still expecting the d: installer to run.
Did you uninstall all the Avid software and drivers using the "programs and features" control panel?

Turn off your interface before uninstall.
I would reboot after uninstalling

If you left a driver the new installer might be confused.
Also, I always run the installers as an admin.

No progress since yesterday. I will try your suggestions, and go through it again, thanks.

This is getting ridiculous.
