Default New: trying to start home studio

Ok, hey all. I am new here but not to forums. I searched and could not find much on my question so hopefully someone can help me out!

I recently picked up a dual g4 450mhz for cheaaaaaap! It has a 80 gb hd and 768 ram.

my question is, i would like to purchase an mbox 2 mini simply for basic recordings and mixing other projects i complete at my school studio.

can i run it? orrrr what do i need to do?

thanks!

Matt

Since the link didn't work for me I'll answer: A 450 mhz sounds VERY thin to me...

i ran an mbox 2 w/ pt 7 on my wifes ibook g4 1.3ghz for months with no problems. you will be limited with how many plugins you can run, but you should be able to track just fine.

A 1.3ghz is a lot different than a 450mhz G4.

Matt, you'll probably need to stick to OS9 and PT5 on that machine, OSX won't be fun. That means you're also limited to either the original Mbox, the original digi001 or maybe the 002 as they were the only interfaces around before PT went OSX.
