Thanks, I'll do a search for Pro Tools Free DUC. I'm wondering if its just better, though, to use PT with my IMac than
with my iBook and external FireWire hard drive.

Looks like you started another thread...oops.

What I meant by "Search the DUC", is to do ONLY a "Pro Tools Free" forum search. Check the top of the page?

This may be where you are most likely to find "similar" answers to most of your probs.

If you go "waaay back", you'll find everyone discussing & fixing "together" all the latency issues you mentioned before & much much more.

Pro Tools Free will run fine on your iBook or your iMac.
