Default Missed option in PT5.01

In previous version of PT (4.3 ?) TDM MAC, when I selected some portion of wave and than I've tried press on numeric pad + or -
selected part has separated automatically and separated region was renamed to right name and number. That way if I wanted to shift one 'word' or take, all I had to do is to select it with Selector and than press + or - to do the move. Now I can't find the way to do it that so easy way it was for me.
Using that triple tool is far to slow when I do work with a lot of harmonies.
Can I still use PT the way I used to?
Help, please! ;(

FAQ the censor!
If nasty bug(?) would not ride high on grabber, than new way would be ok. In my case, when I select a region and than change selector to grabber and trying to move with the grabber, he selects often the whole wave and after while of frustrated fighting with damned thing, the best (so far) way for me is to select the region, Apple/E to separate and than + or - or *loddy grabber.
Arghhhhhh.....
