TELL DIGIDESIGN - DALWDM ERROR
I recently had to reformat my hard drive and then reinstalled the OS (Win Me) in order to get rid of some virus. Pro Tools Digi 001 was working great but all have changed giving me lots of problems.
When I load a project, and hit play, it goes into a BLUE SCREEN with this message: "DALWM ERROR: PLEASE TELL DIGIDESIGN ABOUT THIS No IOR in DoI0Request. Please hit any key to continue" After several hits of any key, it returns to the Pro Tools window with this boxed messeage " YOUR DISK MAY BE TOO SLOW OR TOO FRAGMENTED (-9073) What's going on or what have I done wrong? PS: - Wave Drivers are well installed - All CD Rom Drivers have been taken off Auto Insert notification - All Drives had taken off READ ONLY Thanks guys and hurry. I HOPE BRIAN FROM DIGI TECH SUPT WILL TAKE QUICK ACTION TOO. STEVE. |

Re: TELL DIGIDESIGN - DALWDM ERROR
I would start with upgrading to XP . just kidding.
Uninstall protools, the pci card, and the wave drivers. Search your hard drive for 'dalwdm' and delete it. Its a driver that is probably corrupted. Reinstall everything. pci, protools, wavedrivers. That should fix it. dova

Re: TELL DIGIDESIGN - DALWDM ERROR
I wish it was just a corrupted wave driver, but the truth is, I have been installing the wave drivers from the 5.1 CD.
Thanks for the advice of upgrading to XP which I have on my other drive, I only use the Win Me (5.1) so that I can use some plug-ins which I am yet to buy the XP version. Thanks again and I will try this process of uninstalling everything and see how it works. Steve. PS: Sometimes, the Error reads: "MAP BUFFER GLOBALLY ..." |
