Default 2021.12 Install on Mac Studio M1 Ultra

First, big kudos to Avid for their latest stab at M1 compatibility. This alone is why I held on to my perpetual license renewal this long. Some outstanding issues...

1.) I'm searching for certain missing plugins like Impact, Pro Compressor, the Eleven rack pedals etc. do this work anymore? Maybe I just need to go searching for their individual installers, that's on me.

2.) Plugins like EQ just feel small, old and bitmappy - is there a plan to release better looking versions?

3.) Interconnectivity with the Eleven Rack hardware unit is actually built-in to Pro Tools in the upper left hand corner and still there in the latest version. There is a little tiny button to launch the Eleven Rack Stand Alone Editor in that window. Trouble is, the Standalone editor no longer works on an M1 Mac. I know this is a dated product, but please please please (pretty please) release a working Eleven Rack standalone editor for M1. I don't know how hard it is, but some of us still really love still using our Eleven Racks! Plus if you don't, this tiny launch button is effectively a bug in Pro Tools

Avid I'd appreciate an answer on number 3. Overall, Pro Tools is outstanding on an Mac Studio computer, this is a breakthrough for us all! I would add I'm selling my 2 digi blue interfaces and my HD native card because my new (used) PreSonus Quantum 4848 works so well and has tons of simultaneos IO with very low low low latency even with plugins. Should I keep my HD Native card, maybe put it a chassis? Can't think of a reason to.

There is a long list of separate installers to run to get Monterey compatibility for the whole set of Avid plugins.

I suspect that the corrective for small plugins is a large external display.

The Eleven Rack button only shows up if you have one connected.

They also have these plugins bundled by category, do they not? You shouldn't need to download each plugin individually.

For Windows, yes. Not for Monterey. 28 separate downloads, each with its own installer. You can have Avid Link manage the downloads bit, but still must enter your password (or use Touch ID) for each one.

Just tick the silent install option in the preferences, and enter your computer credentials and Avid Link will take care of the rest.

For some reason I can't find the preference for Avid Link to be able to tick the silent install. Where is it exactly?

If you have Avid Link running, just click the app icon in the top menu bar of OSX. It will open a dropdown menu with a bunch of options including preferences.

Also... feel like running and sharing some low latency tests on the M1 Ultra, Justin?

Stretch its legs a little... take it for a stroll... ya know?

All I see are the following options when I click on AvidLink on the menu bar:

Services
Hide Avid Link
Hide Others
Show All
Quit Avid Link

Under Services I get "Services Preferences" but that just goes to the Apple Keyboard Preferences - Shortcuts"

I don't see any Avid Link Preferences

It is the Icon over near the clock, rather than the standard dropdown menus.
