macbook pro intel issues

It's bizarre - i'm having that cpu useage hardware error w/ my new macbook pro. I don't get it - my old powerbook ran smoother than my new computer. I'm running osx 10.4.9 and pt 7.1.1 - any ideas why I'm having these problems?

also, i'm using an mbox 1.

I don't think PT LE is working under 10.4.9. I know I had to reinstall 10.4.8 to get the Mbox 2 running on my 17".

Hmmm... it works. it just gives me that error every now and then. Perhaps my osx is too updated... i'll try that, thanks.

Mine is definitely working better now that I went back to 10.4.8. The computer doesn't feel as snappy but ProTools is running better for me. More plug-in instances, etc…
