What\'s the difference between Track Transfer and Import/Convert?
I know that with Track Transfer you can have all the plugin and automation values along with the auido files copied, but other than that- Is there a quality difference betweent the two?
If I want to bring a 2-track mix from one session into another (no plugins or automation), what's the better method? Thanks for any input |

Re: What\'s the difference between Track Transfer and Import/Convert?
Basically, *import* will only refer the session to the audio files located somewhere else, where as *tracktransfer* will actually make a copy of the audio files into a different session's audio files folder. basically . . .. |

Re: What\'s the difference between Track Transfer and Import/Convert?
JE-
But you can use the "import AND convert" command to actually make a copy of the audio into the destination session. It won't make a track for you, but it will be placed in the audio regions list. Track Transfer will make a track, audio regions placement, automation, and plugins will all be brought along. Is there anything as far as the "convert" function that is doing something to the digital data different from the Track Transfer? |
