Corrupted OMFI file after -39 error
PTHD 5.3.1 w/digiTranslator 2.0
Imported an Avid 10.x embedded OMFI file. After clicking thru multiple "Too few samples" dialogues, got session to open. (I know, this is fixed in Avid 11.x....) In the course of editing, I attemped to add a fade to a region, and got the "End of file -39 error" message. Hit undo, and continued to work. Now, the sinister part: once you've triggered this -39 error, the OMFI file is apparently corrupted, and once you save and close the session, it cannot be reopened (!) It gives the "File XXXX.omf is of unknown type"error. The only workaround is to copy the original OMFI file to the session folder, and start over. Does this get fixed in Avid 11.x too? Is there another workaround? |
