Default PT 7.3 SUPER LAGGY???

Ok, I run a dual 2.0ghz PPC (non-intel) w/ 3gb of ram... I've never had any laggy issues with pt. But now with 7.3, If I'm playing a song, and I even click on a track (to do some editing, a cut fade etc) the song would always just keep on rolling.. But with 7.3 its like it skips, even if i just click on the screen... ie. without doing any edits to audio even.... It doesn't jump back to where I clicked (if its behind) but it just kind of skips for a few seconds anytime I try to do anything.. Its KILLING me.. Why is this? Shoudn't this be faster and smoother? Is anyone else getting these issues???/ know why I am.. If this isn't fixed by next week I'm gonna uninstall and re-insstall 7.1, its just ridiculous IMO....

After upgrading to 7.3 I have this problem when Timeline and edit selection are not locked together. Try locking them together. (command + /)

It's very borring to me too, so just uncheck "dynamic transport" and enjoy.

away from my system for a week or two but will try it as soon as I walk in the door... I've been working this week on a brand new 7.2 HD2 system, on a dual- dual core 3.0, with 4 gb of ram, OMG... This thing is making my pants tight.. Its ridiculous to say the least.. My two main systems have been my dual 2.0 ppc, and an old mix 24... A buddy of mine just got this HD2 set up and all I can say is, yes, I'll wait for the quad core macs, and yes I'll wait for a digi 003... (I'm assuming the first will come first)... I'll get that... but if the newxt vamp of the 002 isn't LEGIT... A little Hd2 rig will be in my future... In my budget? who knows... So i'm ranting, my apologies...

Will try fixes fingers crossed... Sadly I only had a number of hours between install and my departure to mess around with it, so theres a chance I missed the lock of the timeline and edit... Thanks

DIGI answered the short abscense of sound in another thread. It's not a bug. It's a feature
Guess it only appears when Dynamic transport is on and timeline selection and edit selection is separated.

I'm just about to get 7.3 for my HD3 rig. Wonder how it works there...?
