digidesign databases created automatically
Can someone tell me: is there some way of STOPPING Protools from automatically creating a new Digidesign Database every time a new volume is mounted? (on Mac OSX) This is a real hassle! For example: I connect an iPod to my USB port while PT is loaded; ProTools puts a Database on the iPod. I then can't eject my iPod without quitting PT.
any suggestions much appreciated.

Re: digidesign databases created automatically
There is no way to stop Pro Tools from creating database files/folders. Pro Tools uses these database files to access files quicker. While Pro Tools is open, you can eject your iPod or any other external hard drive through the Workspace window (Window > Workspace or Option + .
