Default Perpetual license no longer working, please help ;)

Hello, advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Prior to lock down i was running PT 12.8.2 on my MBP and used it infrequently. In order to be able to work from home I was given a temp 3month Ultimate license via work as my version wasn't able to cut video tracks/have multiple video or bounce stems etc.

The 3 month temp license has now expired but when i re installed 12.8.2 no license can be found despite it still being present in iLok manager.

I'll upgrade to Ultimate soon but would like to still use my version if at all possible.

Please advise

Welcome to the community.

I see your perpetual PT license bundle with Release Limit 2017-11-13 activated to your iLok, so that should authorize up through 12.8.2. If you still had the expired temp license activated that could have been interfering. Please make sure that iLok License Manager is up to date then Synchronize your iLok. You might also try deactivating then activating your perpetual license bundle.

You also have an expired Pro Tools Plan license (that authorizes Space) as well as an Avid Complete Plug-In Bundle... best to deactivate those.

Thanks for responding Jeffro. I have removed the Ultimate licenses and reactivated my perpetual bits after re installing ILM but still no luck.

I opened Avid link and noticed that still says the Ultimate license is currently active. I've uninstalled AL and re installed but now can't log in to it... To check my password is correct i logged in successfully to my Avid account via Chrome...

More advice required if you would be so kind

In your screenshot, Avid Link shows Pro Tools 2019.12 is installed. Your license will authorize up through 12.8.2, so you should roll back to that version. See this KB article for more info about the Release Limit in Pro Tools.

Avid link is showing Ultimate but I've already re installed 12.8.2

Now reinstalling 12.8.1 to see if that makes any difference but i still can't sign in via Avid Link so thinking there is an issue with my account potentially.

I had tried to boot 12.8.2 with AL uninstalled previously but that didn't work

Update: still no luck with either 12.8.1 or 12.8.2 recognising the license on my iLok

Avid link has finally loaded up again and is still showing 2019.12 as being activated.

Really at a loss so any advice would be welcome.

Avid Link is showing what version of Pro Tools is installed (and your screenshot earlier in the thread shows 2019.12). Open your Applications folder and Get Info on the Pro Tools app. If it's anything higher than 12.8.2 it will not run, so delete that and run the 12.8.2 installer. Perhaps screenshots of the Applications folder (with the Version column shown) or the Splash Screen from Pro Tools launch might help.

For some issues with my Credit Card, AVID System can't make a charge!!! Right Now on my AVID Account looks Normal and my Subscription Avtive, but iLok won't run my Pro Tools Active

I checked your licenses and re-synced them so you should be up and running now. If you see this problem again please start a support case via the Access the Support Center link in my.avid.com.
