Hello,
I have a Macbook Pro bought may 2011 and i just bought the Avid Mbox 3 Pro. The problem is that my Macbook Pro only got a firewire 800 connection and the Mbox Pro got a firewire 400. Im planning to use Pro Tools 9. Will a Firewire 800 to 400 converter or cable work for my setup? Any suggestions ideas how to work this out the best way? Thanks. |

either will work fine. i'd just get a 400-800 cable. this avoids the adapter coming loose while using it and causing a crash.
