IK's Axe I/O record to Pro Tools
My Mac Pro 7,1 recognizes my AXE I/O. It works in standalone.
But how can I make this available in Pro Tools so that I can play and record within Pro Tools? Anyone got this working? Thanks in advance.

Re: IK's Axe I/O record to Pro Tools
There are standard CoreAudio drivers - so you should simply be able to go to Setup > Playback Engine in Pro Tools and choose AXE IO as your engine.

Re: IK's Axe I/O record to Pro Tools
Hi Jeff.
So that didn't work. AXE IO was selected and obviously PT's playback was disabled (no output with my HDX). What I was actually asking is how can I integrate AXE IO so that I can access it and record my guitar within PT? Sorry for the confusion.

Re: IK's Axe I/O record to Pro Tools
You mention trying to use HDX. I'm not sure exactly what you're doing, but this is an either/or situation. If you select AXE IO as your playback engine, you can only use it, and not HDX. It becomes your interface. There's not a way to use both at the same time. You would switch to the AXE IO as your interface, record through it, and monitor using headphones (or monitors) plugged into the AXE IO. Then when you're done, you would switch everything back to HDX for further recording and mixing, etc.

Re: IK's Axe I/O record to Pro Tools
Yeah, understood. Initially I thought I can record my guitar via AXE IO to Pro Tools directly. Thanks for the feedback.
