Default SLIGHT PRE ROLL

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how I can stop the slight pre roll that seems to be on when I am editing in the timeline.

I place the curser next to the audio that I want to play and then play.

I notice that the curser backs up very slightly and then starts.
I have my pre roll set to 0 on the transport.

It's just a bit annoying.

Cheers Dan

I know what you are talking about and to me it's no big deal. Less than a millisecond at most. I think it's more of an optical illusion or a function of buffering than anything else.

I've noticed this too & I find it a little annoying (because I'm pedantic). I've had it happen on HD & LE systems, both PT's 6 & 7. I don't think it's a bug... it's not pre-roll. I think it's the buffer or some sort of disk issue. Remember in PT's 5 sometimes the sound would take a moment or two to roll? Same sort of thing. It seems to happen when the session is getting fuller with edits / fades. Although, I often check the system activity & the CPU is barely on the map. I had fun once getting the CPU meter to get high... it took a lot of tracks (maximum) & a lot of plug-ins... anyways, that for another thread.
