Not sure I'm following your instructions exactly, as this step Create a mono VI track has me confused, as I don't see that option in the New Track dialog. But I created a mono Instrument track, followed you instructions, and it worked fine. The VI didn't stall, and PT did not quit.

I'm not a power PT MIDI guy by any means, so could be my Instrument track is not what you have as your VI track.

Were you able to spend a little time to "beat on" the MiniGrand UI, for example as shown in the video, sometimes it takes more effort but will eventually fail. Very very occasionally things like just removing a MiniGrand insert with the UI open will cause a crash, but that is so rare I doubt anybody would reproduce it.
