Default Audio Technica Microphone Inquiry

I am looking for any feedback on the Audio Technica (AT4040) Recording Microphone to use with a Digi 002 Rack. Is that a good Mic to use with this setup? The Mic is about $320.00.

Thanks very much
Reynold

I have tried it a couple of times, worth the price in my opinion. Look at other brands like Rode, some good things too.

Thanks very much. Indeed, I have looked at the R0DE NT1000 Studio Condenser Microphone which is about $300.00 as well. I cannot afford anymore than $320.00. In your opinion once again, are these two Mics comparable in quality since they are the same price? (Audio Technica (AT4040) and RODE NT1000).

Thanks once again,
Reynold

I've got a 4033, and have used the 4040 several times. I'd highly recommend the AT 40 series mics!

Well I guess both are fine mics for the price... I haven't tried both of them at once, so it's a bit hard to compare. Maybe you'd better decide by yourself, as none of the two should deceive you.

Reynold,

I have two AT 4033's which are great mics.
The 40 series is definitely worth taking a look at.

just as a heads up.. Sweetwater carries the 4040 for $299

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AT4040/

That would save you $31. Then again.. there's shipping etc..
