headphones and computer speakers

i think i know what is happening. realtek headphone/ speaker is not reading headphones. if i choose playback device as headphones it plays but not in pro tools.

anyone knows how to fix it. it will be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Easy. You need to listen to advice from folks.

Use a proper ASIO interface and plug your headphones through that.

Nobody here who works with Pro Tools seriously, or professionally, does what you keep trying to do and all the endless problems you seem to keep having trying to do basic stuff. If you want to make better progress and learn stuff maybe start following advice would be a good idea. I cannot understand why you ask stuff, often multiple times in multiple redundant threads, get good advice from folks, and then ignore it and keep asking away.

Just about every user here has headphones connected to an interface, often multiple headphones. On Windows we all use ASIO interfaces. It just works, from bedroom studio to large commercial studios. If you tried an ASIO interface and headphones connected to it it would work or you would have gotten technical help here form all the folks that know what they are doing. This is supposed to be the easy part, you obtain the right things and plug em together and it largely just works. With all this struggling to get the most basic stuff done, you are going to keep floundering around unless you actually start listening.
