Default strange problem help

My friend works on old TDM system with Magma and 5 proces card and mix card on Mac G4 single 1.25ghz and Mac OS X Panther 10.3.9.

Everything was ok before he buy and conected two more 888/24 i/O interfaces.

Now the problem is after few minutes playback becomes quaeter for 30 or more db-s.

Playback is to low level on i/o boxes but in software everything is ok.

Is this hardware problem or mabye software problem?

Afther he does system restore and calibrate hardware level is ok for 10 minutes and again.....level goes down on the i/o.

Please urgent replay we cant work.
