Scrolling horizontally constrained (no vertical)
Is it possible to scroll horizontally, but in a constrained way (meaning that it does not move vertically at all)? I have an Apple "Magic Trackpad" that allows you to move horizontally, but it is always jumping up and down.

Take a look at one of the third party tools/apps that help with configuration of the Magic Trackpad. I don't use one but I've heard good things about Better Touch Tool https://www.boastr.net/

Shift + vertical scrolling (hold down shift), should get you what you want. Can't test it with a magic pad now, but the pad should be giving the same instructions as a mouse.
(option + vertical scrolling is zoom in/out horizontally if that helps too)
