So can I use the old mbox2 and PT LE 8 with a new mac or what?

i see there's been a driver update but here's my issue

i use a macbook that runs leopard (not snow leopard) and protools LE 8 with an mbox 2

i want to get a brand new iMac

will this work or not?

here's the mbox 2 that i have:

and i want to run protools LE 8 on the new mac

i need to know if it will work with recording and midi syncing hardware

i don't want to upgrade protools at all

if this won't work i will buy an old refurbished mac

If you want a brand new Mac your really need a newer version of Pro Tools.

If this is of any help to you, I ran Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 with an MBox 2 Pro and OSX 10.7 on a MacMini 2011 with no issues.
If you get a brand new Mac you won't be able to downgrade to OSX 10.7, and I don't think PT LE 8 will run on OSX 10.8 (but this is hearsay, not knowledge).
