Re: Avid MBox 3 Pro/Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 / Foot Switch Issues
bump.
i've searched the digibase for this and cannot find an answer. in my pro tools preferences i have no option for footswitch anywhere, but my mbox pro 3 has an input for one. i have tried every way i can to hook it up and get it to work, but to no avail. the footswitch has been tested and works fine. it also used to work properly with my digi 002, but i do not even get an option for it with pro tools 8 and the mbox pro 3. any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Avid MBox 3 Pro/Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 / Foot Switch Issues
I own an Mbox Pro 3 with PrTools9 on a Macbook Pro. Could some one pls tell what footswitches are compatible with this system as I work mostly alone and a footswitch would be of great help to punch in/out… I would appreciate your help and was the problem posted here, ever solved?

Re: Avid MBox 3 Pro/Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 / Foot Switch Issues
First, let us know exactly which version of Pro Tools you have installed and on which OS. See the "Help us Help You" link above.
If you're using Pro Tools 9 or 10, then make sure you have the latest driver installed for the Mbox Pro (Note: this step is not necessary for Pro Tools LE 8). Additionally, be sure you have set the Pro Tools application to "Run As Administrator" on Windows Vista / Windows 7. |

Re: Avid MBox 3 Pro/Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 / Foot Switch Issues
I am having similar crazy issues.
I was on PTLE 8 with a MacBookPro Core 2 Duo circa 2006 and an MBox2Pro with a footswitch with everything working fine. I've just upgraded to a Mac Mini, and have upgraded to Pro-Tools 10... Now when I press the foot switch that has been set to start stop i creates a new track with the name ending in '.dp#' (# being a consecutive number). for an hour or so everything on Pro-Tools 10 including the foot switch worked fine, then I suddenly noticed that the mixer was about 20 metres wide with hundreds of tracks it created, and it started coming up with an error message about no tracks being armed to record even though the pedal is set to start/stop - and I check this MANY times!!! AND, even more fun, it now start recording on the previously created track when I hit the foot switch - I tap it, it creates a new track - say Audio1.dp5 and the previously created track (Audio1.dp4) starts recording - having armed itself after it was created by itself. MENTAL! I'm thinking of calling ghostbusters! I've trashed preferences and this has had no effect. HELP!!!!!! |
