Wow, very good! I like the singer's voice tone.

The drum mix is very good as well. Any kit mixing tips for a guitar player?

Hi DW,

Very big improvement on the drum sounds from your previous song. Nice work!

John.

Hey thanks alot for the great complements!!!!!!

the funny thing about the drums is that I had just bought a oktava mk-319 for a room mic for the drums that day. its a $600.00 mic and I got it for $99.99 and 3 20ft mic cables for $20.00
this mic had ALOT to do with the drum sound! it sounds incredible for a room mic. I dont think I would use it for anything els but as a room mic.
heres what was used on the drums to get the drum sound on the mix .

1 X oktava mk-319
2 X Rode NT 1000
4 X Beta 57a
1 X AKG D112

then into a presonus digimax. I used a medium amount of EQing on all the tracks. on the overheads, I boosted the highs a little and lowered the lows. on the room mic, I put a tiny bit of reverb and then put a stereo delay with right being about 45ms and left being 55ms. doing tis made my drums just sound much more open and warmer. on the kick, I boosted the highs and lowered the lows a bit. toms were boosted in the low departmemt and snare was just alittle bit of highs and thats it!

Great mix, the only thing i would say is bring the bass up a little, but being a bass & guitar player that is a biased opinion!

Keep up the good work!

DW, great stuff, I must say, I was thouroughly entertained. In a world full of Nicklebacks, System of a Downs, and Linkin Parks, I was glad to see you guys going your own way. Great Job.
The only thing that started to nudge me was the Kick Drum, and some parts during the bridge, and towards the end, It started to sound like a General Midi Standard Drum track. And that really bugs me because all I do is play Synth Keyboards, and I am always trying to escape that certain sound. Maybe its just me. Anyway, Good job!
Very Impressed!
=-Ben
