Can we use the video import/export now on Mac Pro/Catalina?

Hi there,
I got a new mac pro which ships with Catalina, but it seems pro tools HD does not support import video or export video with the sounds I make because of Catalina. Is this still the case? Is there any workaround?
It would be very hard since I work with pictures and there's no way to import video.

Just diving into this myself so bear with me.

Catalina ended support of QT because it's 32 bit. There are some apps that have limited access to it.

You can download Video Slave which will still use QT files and it's an external video timeline you can sync with PT.

You can also download ffworks with ffMPEG and convert your QTs to MFX files that can be imported into ProTools. Then you export your mix and use FFworks to attach that mix to the existing vido.

It's all a huge mess honestly and I'm hoping Avid figures something out quickly.

It's unfortunate, since it is the most important feature missing from PT on Catalina for music editors. In my case, when working on a project, I often output preview QTs several times a day. Having to use another program -- such as the recommended app "Video Slave' --to do this is extremely inefficient. I'm also surprised that there has been no timeline provided for when they will be reinstating this basic functionality.
