Default auto touch and solo

i was wondering if it was possible to use the automation and click the solo button when i wanted to solo a certain track in the mix.

I seem to remember the solo not working with automation. But, you can simply group all the other tracks in their own separate group, and mute them at the key point, just by muting one of them (and 'write' it to automation").
To group them all, hold down Shift, click on all the tracks you want muted, hit Ctrl/G, and name the group.
Now, watch me be wrong about being able to solo/automate...
