10.3.2 Heal separation not working. [SOLVED]

Heal Separation is greyed out. Normally when you select across a separation you can heal it quite easily with Command H, now all I see is a greyed out command and can't heal a thing. Is this a bug?


Anyone else chime in please.

I was selecting across an audiosuite edit and the original file, of course it ain't gonna heal! The problem is usually 24 inches away from the screen.

How about using consolidate instead?

Hi all.

I'm sorry but I don't get this. You mean 'heal separation' can only be used on unedited raw imports/recordings? I'm trying to join two parts together but nothing seems to work! I can't get rid of the silence and sync them up. Any help would be much appreciated.

Heal really only a fancy undo, it can not join AS modified or different parts

Consolidate will join anything into a new file

Thanks Craig. When I consolidate the two regions, the silence in between is still there. Is that usually what happens? I edited (fade in/out) both the regions before trying to put them together.

silence is silence
if the timing of the pieces is correct you probably want some reverb to fill the void
if the timing is not correct you need to move the parts so the timing is correct
