MC Control Not working in Pro Tools M-Powered 8 Under HUI

Heya,

I am having an issue with my MC Control, I cant seem to get it working in pro tools No matter what I do.... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My setup is as follows:

Euphonix MC Control going directly into a Mac Pro setup On a static IP address as recommended by the manual. EuControl 2.5.5 (2.5.6 no longer supports HUI) and Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.4.

The computer sees the desk and I can control Logic flawlessly but for some reason the surface wont work in Pro Tools.

I have setup Pro Tools and the ports in the Euphonix preference pane and assigned the ports in peripherals dialog box in PT but the surface does not engage....

I have tried the troubleshooting tips in the FAQ section on Euphonix website including a permissions repair followed by re-setting the HUI setup and removing conflicting MIDI drivers, I have even done a clean install of OS X and PT.

Again any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you tell me *exactly* the settings you have in Peripherals>MIDI Controllers, as well as in the Euphonix System Preference panel?

Hey there,

Thanks for the reply, it seems to be working now.... Under the euphonix preference pane I had the Eucon launch services turned off. What I would do was turn the surface on, launch EuControl, when it had loaded and gone green, i would then launch the DAW... It seems if I have this setting on so EuControl opens when the computer starts up, HUI seems to work in PT.

Strange but hey... looks like I will be launching EuControl on boot from now on instead of running it when I need it...
