Re: I Fail to Imagine How You Could Design a Worse Website
The old site - http://www3.digidesign.com - is still up while these issues are addressed.
The old Structure page is here.

Re: I Fail to Imagine How You Could Design a Worse Website
It is the worst sight I have ever seen. Worrisome is, it may be a glimpse in the mindset of the company; clueless.

Re: I Fail to Imagine How You Could Design a Worse Website
I wanted (and still want!) a simple 96io Windows standalone driver to use on a Mac (with PC Paralells) so that I can use my 96io with my XP / Parallels as a standard soundcard.
Google brings up the links to certain drivers, BUT when clicked they all go just to the FRONT page of this god awful website! COMPLETELY USELESS... I can't find anything on that new design? Why did they touch it??? |

Re: I Fail to Imagine How You Could Design a Worse Website
Here's something I found totally weird.
If you go to the products section, clicking on 'Audio Midi Interfaces' only shows certain M-Audio products. To find any 'Digidesign' interfaces you have to go to 'Digital Audio Workstations'. Hmm. So the 192 I/O isn't an audio interface and m-audio products aren't part of a DAW system? What the hell... And which category does the eleven rack fit under? Couldn't find it... Could we just have big, obvious sections for Audio/post vs Visual stuff? And then create a HD, LE, and M-Audio section within the main Audio section? It's REALLY difficult and unpleasant trying to go through this new site. |

If you think the new Avid site changes are bad, you should see
what they just went through at Harmony-central.com... ...although the management at Harmony-central just had the good sense to back out the worst changes after weeks of user complaints. |

Re: I Fail to Imagine How You Could Design a Worse Website
This is what happens when you bring in new unexperienced people to cut costs at any company.
Remember when a bunch of the staff left last year? It's becoming clear they knew things were heading in a new direction and wisely bailed while the company still had a good rep.
