MIDI unusable in 7.3.1 synch/latency issues
I wanted to add my name to the list of those experiencing MIDI issues in 7.3.1. My info:
G5 Dual 2.0 GHz (June 2004) 2 separate processors 5GB RAM 1 250 and 1 150 internal SATA OEM Drives 7200rpm OSX 10.4.6 Pro Tools HD TDM 7.3.1 192 I/O Interface 8x8 BFD MachFive Started with Pro Tools TDM 5.3? (can't remember) on this computer and 5.1 on a G4 before that. I have updated straight through 6 and now to 7 and NEVER had these issues with MIDI latency (or synch/midi clock whatever it is). Right now my Pro Tools investment is worthless to me as I need MIDI to work for what I do. I use BFD a lot and have just started on MachFive. Neither will work now. Starts off fine but within a couple of bars the MIDI stuff is so far behind it sounds AWFUL. I have already deleted the preference files. No joy. I will be running the Troubleshooting tips and watching for a Digi resolution. |
