Default Clip Groups Bug 2022.9

macOS Monterey 12.5.1 - 2022.9 bug. -> Import Session Data -> In the workspace you receive a "read only" error and the clips never render the wave forms nor can you playback clips. If you go to the session you're trying to import undo the clip groups save and then go back and repeat steps you can import clips into track.

Note - just for fun I removed a plugin in the session I was trying to import called EQuick from DMG Audio. That seemed to have fixed the problem. So I think something with the plugin and clip groups is causing some errors?

Hi as for your resolution the plugin has causing the problem. Not happening here but i don't use that plugin. You can test further and make some more test with and wihtout it.

There are some good and fast deveoplers out there but there are not so good an/or to slow releasing updates too.

With that said you can start by checking for any updated version of the plugin and install it .

Thanks—I did some more tests and I don't think it's from the plugin after all. Go figure. I have a hunch it's from ProTools sessions created from 2022.4. I might try opening the sessions, ungrouping and re-grouping and then saving as 2022.9 to see if the problem goes away.

I've seen here.on the DUC some strange issues opening older PT session too. Does it happen with new sessions too ?

Also please try removing ALL the plugins from the plugins folder and test , this step is very important as with just them being in the folder they can cause trouble . So is better be shure no 3rd party plugin is causing it .
