Default Click Track Volume

Ok, this is frustrating. I'm just learning how to set up a click track. I went through the manual and I got the click track set up (I'm using the internal click plug-in) and selected the 'play and record' mode. When I start the recording, I can see the clicks on the level display on the auxilliary track. However, I can't hear it. I push the volume slider up for that track and I can hear it but as soon as I release the mouse, the slider goes back to 'INF' or 0 level. Anyone know why this would happen?

Ok, I managed to get the countoff click but it still goes dead when the at the starting point for recording. I did this by increasing the volume of the aux channel before pressing record/play. Any ideas on why it would go silent after the countoff?

Thanks.

You got any automation on that Aux track?

Yep, that was it. I turned the auto off and it worked like a champ. Thanks!
