Default Any way to disable some of Avid's new shortcuts?

Hello,

Anyone know how to do this? I've created a number of my own shortcuts with a third party program and Avid's new shortcuts are taking up valuable keyboard real-estate / are causing my shortcuts not to work. V annoying. Thanks,

John

No.

PT's universal set of keyboard shortcuts (same in whatever studio you go to) is part of why it's still a standard.

The N key is a killer

Even when some of the new ones are so poorly thought out?
I’m talking specifically about the arrow keys now moving midi notes in the midi editor - when ‘down’, ‘right’ has been used for years to chase the cursor.

Absolute chaos.

It's too close to the space bar... I'm sure that you know what the N key is for

We have been asking for a very long time that Avid should make it possible to lock the state of the N key. Or rather lock what it’s controlling. I hit it by mistake several times a day and it is sooooo annoying.

Quite right - sorry I thought the functionality of the N key may have changed (I wouldn’t put it past them)

Keyboards are hard.

It's not like the N key purpose hasn't been the same for a very, very long time.

Too close to the spacebar, I guess we'll have to eliminate the whole lower row of letters.

What is the "N" key for?
