any one have tried using FW800 with MBOX 2 PRO ?

FW400 hard drive are quite hard to get these days...

It's been a while since I was using my Mbox2Pro on my mac that had both FW 400 and 800 ports, but I definitely was experiencing some of these problems.

Interestingly, though...the fix for me was, after I booked up the system, fired everything up, and tried to play a session in PT, thus giving me the error and stopping me from working, ALL I had to do was disconnect the Mbox2Pro (literally unplug it's FW 400 cable) reconnect it, wait for it to get sync (solid light) start PT again, and voila....everything would work PERFECTLY with my FW 800 drive for audio until the next time I rebooted.
This was 100% a guaranteed fix for me (though must be done every boot up.)
I can't say I've tried using it on a machine with only one FW 800 port, though.

Most external drives worth their salt have both FW800 and FW400 connections. OWC and G-Drive are the two brands I use the most, and both have 400/800 connectors on them as well as USB2.0.
