Default Is it any good? Do you like it?

Hi.

As with most forums of this nature, people tend to post when there's a fault/bug or want to know how to do something specific with the unit in question.

I'd love to know if users of Command|8 actaully like it. Is it a good product? Does the functionality outweigh the bugs? Are you happy with it? Would you buy one again if something happened to yours?

I'm currently using a ProControl w/HD2. I'm moving the studio to a new space and considering ditching the ProControl because of the size of the unit.

I'm trying to make my workspace neater and having done a lot of reading I was wondering if perhaps Command|8 had a better functionality:footprint ratio.

BTW: I'm not using the monitoring/talkback section of the ProControl so this is not a factor.

So, if you like your Command|8 I'd love to know why so that I can better appreciate its good points and not just the bugs/design faults I've been reading about here.

Thanks!

Donnacha.

Well for me it's really OK I like the unit really much. I had a 01V96 before and the C|8 is a huge difference.

I was not working on ProControl before so for you it migth be a step backward because there are a couple of things you are used to on the ProControl but won't find them on the C|8

I have one and I love it. It works great with Pro Tools. The only concern that I can think of is the fact that it doesn't play well with any other applications. I've work the the Control|24 and its very detail compare to the C|8. I actually started with the C|8 and it was extremely easy to learn the C|24.

I've had mine for about a year now. I love it. I can't imagine working without it. The only feature I don't use is the monitoring section.

I have just switched from a Motormix setup and so far, I believe the Motormix has more to offer. I guess I just need to get used to the Command8.

I just bought one, and so far I like it. I haven't run into too many problems getting it up and running.
