Default SampleTank blues ... help...

I installed SampleTank 2 as RTAS and found some problems using it on LE: when trying to load various instruments (ex. flute soloist, expresive MX and BC) and when trying to use the Stretch function it only generates a popup that says "performing preanalysis" and simply hangs there indefinitely. Other instruments (ex. all of the church organs, bandpass, synth EP) do not produce any sound, although in some cases I see the signal in my mixer.

I tried IK support, but could not get a solution that worked. Can anyone please tell me if these problems are common with SampleTank on LE and if so is there some way to fix them - or should I give up? I must confess that I had great expectations and was looking forward to use it.

Hi,

I use ST2 with no problems on PTLE. There is an update available from the IK users area that addresses a few bugs.

Hope that helps,

Best

Thank you for the advice. IK support told me to do that, and I did but it did not work. However, given your experiences, I shall try again. Feliz Navidad for both of you.

I had the same problem...updated Sample Tank and still had the problem. I was using PTLE 5.3.2 on a PC with XP Home. It wasn't until I had upgraded to PT 7.6 that this was fixed. It could be that this problem is fixed in PT 6X...what PT version are you using?

I have had nothing but problems with Sampletank as well... I ended up just using the VST version with the VST to RTAS wrapper and it has worked like a charm ever since.

Feliz Navidad to you too... go for the upgrade. I have found that some of the samples that I import will not work to good when using the stretch feature. It really depends on the quality and lenght of the sample. If you are using ST own sounds and using stretch and having problems, let us know what is it exactly, what is it you intend to do and how you are doing it. Perhaps we could solve your problem.

I am no expert but I have used sampletank for about 3 years.
