PTLE 8.0.1 Will Not Load
Hello Folks,
Although I have not used it in a few weeks, PT LE 8.0cs3 was working with my Mac Pro (Early 2009) and 003 Factory on 10.5.8. Last thing I added was DV Toolkit then Ozone 4 full. Worked after that. Did some security updates of course but I am pretty sure I used LE on 10.5.8 . So I did 8.0.1 (twice) and now it says Loading, gives beach ball, and crashes. Never gets to the plugins that I can tell. Have deleted prefs in both places and Digi databases. Booted from Drive Genius and did Repair and it found nothing and did Rebuild. Near the end of Rebuild it said it fixed a minor problem. PT LE 8.0.1 still crashes on load. Any ideas? Will download the support folder or whatever it is called. Thanks, Robert |

Re: PTLE 8.0.1 Will Not Load
Do to a possible compromise of the system, I thought OS X must be corrupt so I upgraded to Snow Leopard and PT 8.0 works. Will install the Music Production Toolkit, DV Toolkit, etc. and see if it continues to work.
Not sure if I should do 8.0.1 but will probably try it later. Y'all be cool, Robert |

Re: PTLE 8.0.1 Will Not Load
Yo folks, same problem here! PT 8.01 don't wanna load ! It quit immediatly at the opening, don't even go to the Plugs loading.
My system is also Mac Pro early 2009 with Leopard OS 10.5.8. and the Music Production Toolkit. It was running perfectly previously with PT 8.0 cs3, although I had to remove the Digirewire that was conflicting with an old version of Structure. As I thought that was maybe the probl, I reloaded the 8.0 cs3, removing that Structure plug and putting back the Digirewire. All was OK! Then I tried again the 8.01 but no change! It crashes immediatly! I've put back the 8.0 cs 3 again now with the Structure plug that I need more than the funny Rewire and you know what? Now no need to remove the Digirewire anymore! Everything works fine with the cs 3! ...But no chance to make the 8.01 loading ... Is it conflicting with the Music Prod Toolkit ???... |

Re: PTLE 8.0.1 Will Not Load
We had a similar problem with my friends macbook pro with SL and PT8.0.1.
By removing stereo mix.dpm and surround mix.dpm we solved the problem. |
