DIGI001 headphone output mono..?

Hi all,

I have recently noticed that my headphone mix (from the headphone jack on 001) is now in mono mode. I am confused by this and I can't find a setting anywhere to change it back to stereo It seems my headphone mix has always been stereo. The output to my monitors is stereo from the Master Fader, and the Master Fader does control the headphone output level.

Can someone shed some light on this peculiar delima for me, thanks

Maybe check your headphones off another source like a cd player and check that they are working properly? I had a dodgy plug on one pair for a while that made mono of everything unless you pulled the lead in a certain direction.. Make sure they're plugged all the way in, some plugs may need an extra bit of force to go the last click? I don't think there is a physical way to make the headphone jack mono unless you do it with plug ins within your your session which would make your monitor and 1-2 outs mono aswell. ?

Thanks for the reply Mick... oddly enough, while you were typing this I discovered the problem, and just like you said, my headphone jack has a "short" in it causing a mono feed to the cans. Whew, I thought I was really missing something BIG in ProTools
