Cool My Digi 002r is dead after 4 years, no more clicks.

My digi 002r has worked flawlessly after 4 or 5 years cant remenber but today I started it up if worked Ok then in the middle of my session it stoped & told me that there was "no comunication with the hardware" so I tried to start up the 002r several time with not luck, there is power going through it but that justa about alll that is happening, I remember everytime I would start up the unit it would "click 3 times" just like in the wizard of oz, & I would know that everything was fine, now sadly to say, no more click at power up, that tell me something is wrong, like I said there is power going through it cause the mute button lights up, but it does not go off mute when I push it in.

Have I seen the last days of my digi002r, cause I dont even have this unit registared, is it worth trying to get it looked at or is that a long shot that the digi people will even look at it cause I dont have the thing registared & or is the warenty expireded I would think so, any thoughs? your probable going to say move to digi 003r, thanks.

Your power harness or power supply has failed. This is a well documented problem with the 002 line. Unfortunately you will probably need to purchase them from Digi because you are not registered. Cal CS and they will send you what you need.

SInce you have nothing to lose at this point, I would open the unit and reseat each white plastic connector several times(to scrape thru the oxidation buildup on the pins). This may get you back to work. 4 years and only 11 posts? You need to spend more time on the DUC.
