Carbon Central Status:Connecting...hangup

Carbon Central for me has a spinning wheel next to the message Status: Connecting... indefinitely. No update has fixed this. Anyone have any insight into why this is?

"Acquired in AMS" means that you have Apple's Core Audio already grabbing the Carbon, so it cannot be used in Carbon Central.

If you want to change this, go into AMS (Audio Midi Setup) which is in Applications -> Utilities and deselect the Carbon from the AVB list. (Open the Network Device Browser using CMD-3 and untick "Pro Tools | Carbon" in the list).

This will allow you to use Carbon Central instead of AMS, but be aware that you must now have Carbon Central running to use the Carbon for anything.

The only real reason to use Carbon Central is to join a Carbon and one or more Carbon Pres. Otherwise, you might as well use AMS, as you already are.
