Help with peaking
Hello everyone,
I'm doing a final mix for a new song and I had a question. In my master fader there's constant peaking. What can I do so that there's no dicernible change on the song's levels themselves... can I add a limiter? Or what about the master fader itself? At what volume is it supposed to be? Does it have to be at 0.0? Or can it be lower? Thanks for any help! sergeman |

Re: Help with peaking
Never drive it into the red; there is no soft clipping in digital. The "pocket" in a digital signal is cooler than in analog; although a little bit of peaking may be inaudible, it's best to never see red at all.
