Yes, I use a PC1600X that PT used to support more in older versions. Still no blue lights. Automation from track data moved the knob as well, but no blue light. I'm curious now.

Just hold down command + option and right click on the knob above the blue light and select Disable automation for "Whatever it is".

That should turn it off.

That's how the 002 Console shows you what it's controlling in a plug in.
Without it busy plugs would be hard to navigate because of the way the 002 maps it's control.
On many plugs the 002's arrangement of parameters can be somewhat chaotic.
You may see the low freq next to the hi freq and the mid freq show up on the next page.
So the 002 accents parameters on screen when you bring the plug into focus so you know what parameters are currently mapped to the encoders.
It's not a bug.
