Default 10.8.2 vs 10.8.3 for HDX or HD Native

Hi all, the official specs for any new HDX or HD Native system list Mac OS 10.8.3 and up, though I see that ProTools software versions 10.3.3-10.3.8 are approved on 10.8 and 10.8.2 as well.

I'm mapping out an upgrade for this spring, and wondering if it will run on 10.8.2 which is what I have now. I run a Hackintosh so if I can avoid any unnecessary system updates I do - the differences between 8.2 and 8.3 seem very minor, bug fix type stuff.

So anyone successfully running a new HDX or Native system, PT10, on Mac OS 10.8.2?

Thanks in advance - I tried a search, but the DUC search won't search for a string with that few characters / that many periods.

10.8.4 is the newest version suggested for 10 and 11 co-install.

10.8.5 is not approved by now

i tested 10.8.5, 10.9 and 10.9.1 with HDX and HD10/11 combo-install on a 2012 6-core Mac Pro 32GB Ram.

same performance than 10.7.4 and 10.8.4 for me, but they´re all not perfectly working here. crash every now and then.

I'm on 10.8.5 and haven't run into any issues so far with HDX in a Magma 3t and 2011 MBP.

thanks guys. I guess barring any bona fide positive reports of 10.8.2 it may be worth the OS upgrade. gotta figure out how to do it sometime!

10.8.4 is the best Mountain Lion, go get it now. I would think 10.8.5 is probably almost as good, but I haven't tested it that much because I already moved on to Mavericks (working great).
