1. Click on the color bar on any track to open the color pallette.
2. Hold down ctrl-windows-alt, and while holding, left-click and drag the mouse upwards on the little colored squares.
Pretty cool! Note that if you have all the tracks highlighted, it will make them all the same color.
Highlight just one track and they'll change according to their individual color bars.

Hi - thanks for the tutorial.

I think it's great being able to change the opacity of the channel strip colour but every time I load my sessions, they default to fully transparent. Is this normal behaviour?

Not sure if that's clear: I change the opacity so all my mixer strips are a solid colour, I save, exit, reload and they're grey again.

I'm using version 7.3.1cs4.
