Controlling Cubase SX3?
Hi,
I am seriously considering making a move to Pro Tools after being a Cubase user for many years, in fact I've already made up my mind. I plan on buying Pro Control for the center of my studio but I'm not ready to completely give up Cubase just yet, if ever! Would it possible to control the mixer features of SX3 with Pro Control or am I dreaming? Does anybody have experience of using PT and SX simultaneously and if so, what is the best way to go about it? |

Re: Controlling Cubase SX3?
I probably shouldn't talk but I've been using PT since v4 and I'd bet that if you go for PT 7.2 on a Procontrol you won't want to look back. But I have never used Cubase. The Procontrol would not be able to control Cubase. It gets it's personality from PT.
However you could monitor your Cubase mix through the monitor section of Procontrol. |

Re: Controlling Cubase SX3?
Last year I acquired a 002r and put it in one of my studios that had Cubase 2.0x (I don;t remember). Cubase and CORE audio never worked. I called the techs at Sweetwater and they were unable to get Cubase SX2.xxx nor Cubase 3.xxx to work with CORE Audio. (oo2r)
The only way I got "audio" to work with Cubase 2.xx on a Mac was to get a Firewire device from M Audio. The 001 workeed just fine with Cubase. I haven't tried Cubase with HD.....I just got DP 5.1 and 'they' say DP will work fine. We'll see. Good luck |
