Default PTLE 7.1.2 Not Recognizing M Box

I just got the M Box 2 Pro Factory bundle. No problem with installation and I set my computer up just like it said in the manual. However, when the program boots, it does not recognize the M Box hardware. I need some help.
I reposted this under another header because the original does not state the problem.

Well, it recognizes it, but they aren't on speaking terms.

I installed 7.1.2 on both my Quad G5 and PowerBook G4, works fine on both. So I'm confident it runs on PowerPC Macs. Just dobule-checking - your iMac is a G5 (PowerPC) model?

Maybe you got a defective Mbox 2 Pro or firewire cable? Have you got any other FW device to verify that the FW port on the Mac is working? Have you tried using the AC power adapter supplied with the Mbox 2 Pro?

Yes, definitely a PPC. The iSight camera works fine on both ports. I have tried booting up with the M Box external power and without. The leds light when the computer comes on, but the "On" led just blinks, it never goes solid. I am going to get another firewire cable today and see if that makes a difference.

Do you use an external drive as a target for your PT sessions? If so, which one? Thanks.

New firewire cable seems to have solved that problem.

Now I am getting a DAE error - 9131 when I try to open a new session and use the external hard drive. It is a Lacie USB drive (250 G). It has been erased and formatted with the Apple Disk Utilities.
